OK, honestly, I have nothing against Brett Favre. I think he’s a great football player, a future Hall of Famer, just a really gutsy guy. I’ve just been turned off/annoyed by all the drama is summer about him wanting to play again after he decided to retire shortly after the season ended. He has every right to, and he’s not the only one that’s done this, i.e. Michael Jordan, but I feel like he and the Packers could have handled this a lot better. He said that he felt unwanted by the team, but I think if he had told them at the end of the season he wanted to come back, they would have let him. When he retired, it became the entire organization’s mindset that Aaron Rogers would be the franchise quarterback. In my opinion, to change that just as training camp had begun, would have damaged the team mentally.
So this comic is dedicated to all the fans who were sick and tired about listening and watching about all of the messy details of this “divorce.” (Also, I actually drew this before the article about Favre’s potential with the Packers to stay retired came out.) Again, nothing against Brett Favre, (Good Luck in New York Mr. Favre! Hope you beat the Pats!) I just thought this was funny.
